Hit another goal...:)

This weekend I hit one of my mini-goals.. got into some white capris I bought two years ago, never wore and soon 'outgrew'... Only took 6 weeks! :0

Willa,
The mini-goals seem to really be working for me. I will switch things up.

I hope to weigh every day for the rest of my life, per Fly Lady, not to obsess, but to know my body and see trends. So the clothes are a nice mini goal to keep me from obsessing about the pound numbers. Plus it is fun to try the pants on every week and have them be just a smidgeon looser.

My new mini-goal are some brand new jeans that have been sitting folded in my closet very quietly for about 3 years.

Hope I am not boring you all with these goals... it is nice to finally make some progress after literally years of frustration and trying. :0

I have been weighing daily (except when I'm away from home). You're right, it's very nice for starting to see patterns. I didn't know Flylady did it, but I did read some studies that show that maintenance goes better with a daily weigh-in (I know it doesn't work for everyone, but since it seems to work for me I was glad to see the validation).

Sorry about that deleted comment above; I accidentally double-posted.

Daily weigh in make me neurotic !! :-)
I weigh in weekly and adapt my diet/workouts accordingly....

I like it that we each find what works for us....

Just finally making time to check out this great blog! I need some encouragement--I'm struggling with my weight loss/exercise goals--the haagen daaz is calling but I am persevering!
Cindy, you look great--I like setting mini goals, too--I think that will help me out of my slump!

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Yes, I like the mini goals, too. It is nice to have small rewards and also takes the pressure off of just 'losing weight'. I am trying to get healthier so having the daily goals of working out, eating right, vitamins, water, etc, keep it do able.

Hi Jennifer-

Would you like to join the blog as an author and then youc an make entries, too? Whatever your goals or chosen methods are to reach them we will support you. We have lots of different moms here with different ways and goals. If you would like me to set you up, send me your email address and I can.
