Pulling Myself Up By My Bootstraps

I've hit a curve and have not dealt with it as gracefully as Maria. Two weeks ago we moved into a new military house because our old one is going to be knocked down. I got a swim in that morning and since then I've had 2 swims. That's it! The movers broke the treadmill so that is out too. I was willing to give myself a little break because everything is in a box and the stairs are something of a workout, but that little break has drifted into a near comatose state. So this week, I've been trying to force myself back into the water. At about 20 minutes I get impatient to be home and painting or unpacking or cleaning, but I'm gritting my teeth and trying for at least 30. I find that sometimes pulling out that inner drill seargant is the only thing I can do!

Love the pic, Rachel - and I didn't know your dh was in the military! Mine is too!

Good for you on getting back to workouts - it seems like it takes time but it actually makes time as it gives you more energy and (eventual) warm fuzies! lol!

Oh, Rachel.. I have been there!

It is so hard during moves... and the stress is really bad, so I really needed the workout, but with so much to do the mind is always divided.

Thing will get better and it isn't the end of the world if you miss working out regulalry.. just go when you can. That 20 min is also far better than none at all!

Cheering for you... this season will pass!

Oh, Rachel....I might sound graceful on the blog but I still need confession this weekend!

Hey - you pic is too cool! You look terrific!

Rachel,

I figured it out - you look like Keira Knightley!

Has anyone told you that?

Thanks for the cheering, I need it!

Oooh, Leonie, can you get stationed here? I want to visit your homeschool!

Cindy, You are right, the world hasn't ended yet. I did make it to WW this week and had lost 3.6 lbs so I guess I'm not doing too badly.

Maria, I've never heard Keira Knightly. I have at various times heard Cindy Crawford, Britney Spears, Jamie Gertz all of which made me laugh! :) I think I must have sort of middle of the road features that lend themselves to a variety of interpretations, sort of like Ben Kingsley. LOL!

Congrats on the weight loss - you must be almost at goal, right? You only wanted to lose 10 or 15 lbs?

Nearly there. About 6 left to be at my weight which would be the same as I weighed at my wedding almost 9 years ago. I've been there since then, but only after I've had boys. Girls do something to you.

I just love this picture! I haven't been reading blogs much, trying to catch up on this one and who do I see?

It sounds like you are doing great...you're working like a dog at home, so that is a lot of muscle work, too.

Interesting comment about boyys and girls and weight - I've only had boys so can't verify! lol!
